A wise man once said, "there are three seasons in Los Angeles: Summer/Fall, Winter/Spring, and Awards Season." On Friday, February 22nd, 2018, ZLA's flagship Oscar Night event is returning yet another year, for the first time ever as an FNO. Four of our airports will be featured: KLAX, KBUR, KVNY, and KSMO all serve as major hotspots of traffic, be it general aviation or heavy airliners. They also lie in close proximity to the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, where the Oscars are held. Join us from 2359z-0400z for four hours of high quality ATC in the LA Basin!

Hello to all pilots interested in participating in the Oscar Night event! We kindly ask you all to visit this link and review the information ZLA has posted under their event thread. If you are not able to comply with their requests, or you're a newer pilot with lesser experience, we ask you to reconsider participating as it will be a very short, and very busy flight. Though, all pilots are welcome, just consider the chance of becoming overwhelmed.
